PROMO-TIENDA, S.L. has been in the screens business since 1992. RDS — Digital Signage RDS — is the SaaS we launched in 2018 to manage the same devices we'd been installing for 26 years.
Our story
Founded in Barcelona in 1992, PROMO-TIENDA started by installing TV monitors in supermarket aisles — daily-offer video before there was an internet to push it from. Over the next three decades we designed, manufactured and installed digital signage hardware across Spain and Portugal: LCDs from 3.5″ to 32″, media players, touch screens, interactive controllers.
By 2018, the screens we'd put out there had multiplied to the point that managing them via remote-desktop and email was eating engineering time. We built RDS — the SaaS — as the console we wished existed: one tenant per business, every endpoint visible, every playlist editable from one place, every change traceable in the audit log.
Today RDS runs across hundreds of devices in production — restaurants updating their menu boards remotely, hotels scheduling promotional content per franchise, retailers pushing seasonal videos to every store overnight. The hardware lineage and the SaaS lineage live under the same roof in Barcelona.
What we believe
- Software for screens should be simple. One license, every feature, no upsell tiers between you and the button you need to press.
- Built in the EU. Hosted in the EU. Same data-protection rules our customers operate under.
- No third-party analytics in the console. The cookies banner exists because the law requires it, not because we use any of it.
- Software should answer the phone. Every quote request lands on a real engineer's desk — no call-centre scripts.
